Uncovers actionable insights and trends hidden within the financial data of more than three million companies. Users all over the world include large corporations, start-ups, venture capital and private equity firms, investment banks, and many others. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in driving the development of a part of PitchBook’s project – the foundation of all business data across the platform. The team ensures the consistency, validation, and reliability of datasets, which are then published downstream to power the tools and insights used by thousands of investment professionals globally.
You’ll work in an active development environment, providing both technical leadership and hands-on contribution. Your responsibilities will span from ensuring code quality and system reliability to mentoring engineers and building bridges between technical and business stakeholders. This is an opportunity to directly impact a high-load, distributed system at scale while growing as a leader and technical professional.

Tech stack: Java 17+, k8s, Spring/Spring boot, OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka
As a qualified expert, You will
- Align technology initiatives with the strategic priorities of the team
- Build effective communication bridges between Technology and Business teams
- Own and ensure adherence to system business SLAs, code maintainability, and operability
- Maintain and manage technical documentation artifacts
- Onboard, mentor, and manage team performance and workload
- Provide coaching to improve individual and team performance, while driving accountability
- Supervise and coordinate the work activities of direct reports in relation to people operations processes
- Participate in the hiring process
We’re looking for you if you have
- 5+ years of experience in Java software development
- Strong knowledge of Java Core
- Proficiency in Java 17
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- Experience with Hibernate
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL or other relational databases (RDBMS)
- Experience working with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Ability to build effective communication between teams
- Proven experience managing and owning project SLAs
- Ability to define, maintain, and control technical documentation artifacts
- Experience supervising and coordinating the work activities of direct reports in relation to people operations processes
- Strong English and Ukrainian communication skills, both written and verbal
