About the project
PitchBook is a platform designed for investment professionals, offering access to data and analytical tools that provide quick answers and help discover promising opportunities. It uncovers actionable insights and trends within the financial data of over three million companies. The platform is used worldwide by large corporations, startups, venture capital and private equity firms, investment banks, and many others.The team resposible for Data Operations and Workflow domain includes mainly Internal Core Platform and research experience for data manipulation within Internal Core Platform. They also manages and track research activity for performance and quality analysis.

As a qualified expert, You will:
- Participate in the hiring process.
- Ensure tech alignment with the team’s strategic priorities.
- Establish effective communication between Tech and Business teams.
- Own system business SLA, code maintainability, and operability.
- Manage technical documentation and artifacts.
- Lead the team:
- Onboard, mentor, adjust performance, and distribute workload.
- Provide coaching to enhance team members’ performance and drive accountability.
- Supervise and coordinate direct reports’ activities related to people operations processes.
We’re looking for you if you have
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in Java.
- Proven experience leading a team or mentoring developers.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.
- Knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make architectural decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- English — Upper Intermediate (B2 and above), Ukrainian — fluent (both spoken and written).
Bonus Points
- Experience with ElasticSearch or Lucene.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI standards.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
