This role contributes directly to improving product quality and delivery confidence by ensuring stable automation coverage and reliable releases.
By supporting automation and quality practices, the role helps teams deliver features faster while maintaining system stability and customer trust.

Work Environment: Flexible working schedule with mandatory participation in core Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives). The role operates with a high level of autonomy and ownership, working closely with Engineering and Product teams. The environment emphasizes technical leadership, automation-first quality, and collaboration in a distributed setup.

As a qualified expert You will

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend services and APIs
  • Execute test strategies for microservices-based systems
  • Perform API, integration, and regression testing
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (or as a scheduled jobs)
  • Analyze test failures and identify root causes
  • Identify, document, and track defects and technical risks
  • Provide test execution reporting and visibility into test results, coverage, and overall quality status
  • Collaborate with developers to improve testability and system quality
  • Maintain test stability, reliability, and coverage
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and proactively communicate quality risks, test results, and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and automation processes

We’re looking for you if you have

Core Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in SDET/SDE position
  • Strong knowledge of Java (17+) or Python
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing modular, reusable test automation frameworks with an engineering-focused approach
  • Experience with UI, API and backend testing
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and OpenAPI
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
  • Basic understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar) is a plus
  • Basic experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

Testing Knowledge & Practices

  • Solid understanding of software testing principles and SDLC
  • Experience with functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Ability to analyze test results and identify defects
  • Experience working with test data and validating system behavior
  • Understanding of test environments and test stability challenges

  • Ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving
  • Strong communication and collaboration with engineering and product teams
  • Ability to mentor mid-level engineers and influence quality practices across teams
