About the project:

Project: Roche Sequencing Solutions Santa Clara, is a fast moving, highly interdisciplinary and technical team of people with the ambitious goal of disrupting Next Generation DNA Sequencing. Our technology fuses active biological and solid state elements to bring single molecule based sequence detection to scale. Developing this unique platform requires expertise across a range of fields including Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and related fields.

As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial part in gathering and managing requirements for Roche Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Processes: Flexible schedule, but some overlap with team from the USA (California) will be required.

As a qualified expert, You will:

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders and team members in California to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Remote Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between California-based Agile teams, facilitating clear and consistent communication.
  • Proactive Collaboration: Take initiative in meetings, raising and addressing any potential issues or ambiguities in requirements to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed technical requirement documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other relevant materials to ensure alignment and clarity among all stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders by providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment on project goals.

We’re looking for you if you have:

  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience as a Requirements Engineer or in a similar role, preferably with a strong background in Agile methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Upper-intermediate level of English (B2/C1) with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively working with teams across different time zones.
  • Proactive Mindset: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and anticipate challenges while working remotely.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with software development processes and tools.

Would be a plus:

  • LIMS Experience: Prior experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry is a plus.
