We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our team.

About the role

Join a fast-growing travel-tech company that is building a smart mobility platform to simplify booking train, bus, and flight tickets across Europe and beyond. Our product helps millions of users find the best travel options by combining real-time data from hundreds of providers into one seamless experience.

You will become part of the powering engine of the project — the Coverage Tribe, which enables integration with hundreds of transportation partners worldwide. Your mission will be to help us build a cloud platform that removes complexity and fragmentation from transportation data and APIs, transforming them into a structured and performant system.

Team setup: You’ll work in a cross-functional team on the client side, collaborating closely with both business and tech stakeholders.

Tech stack: Java (17–21), Spring, Spring Boot 3, Couchbase, BigQuery, Docker, Kubernetes, Graphite, Grafana, Kibana, GraphQL.

As a qualified expert, You will

  • Design, build, and enhance our provider platform to simplify and optimize complex tasks.
  • Play a leading role in the architecture and design of the Coverage Platform and related systems.
  • Integrate new providers and maintain existing ones.
  • Use Kubernetes to deploy and manage services.
  • Develop high-performance services that handle communications with our partners.
  • Collaborate with other teams on solutions to challenging and interesting problems.
  • Design and build scalable, future-proof microservices and libraries.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional growth.

  • Strong experience in Java, designing and building scalable, high-performance applications.
  • Hands-on experience in software design and Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and container technologies.
  • Passion for software craftsmanship and agile development methodologies.
