How will the DevOps Engineer contribute to the project?
In this project, the DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability of the infrastructure, optimizing processes, and maintaining security. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based systems (CentOS, Ubuntu) to ensure their stability, performance, and security, administering and optimizing Kubernetes (k8s) clusters, including the deployment and scaling of containerized applications, troubleshooting complex network architectures.
You’ll work with the following stack:
Bitbucket, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Elastic, Prometheus/Grafana, Zabbix, Kafka, Zookeeper, Ansible, and Teraform.
We’re looking for you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Proven experience in System Administration, specifically with Linux environments (CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes (k8s) and hands-on experience with cluster management and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL/OLAP) and their optimization techniques.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and respond to critical incidents swiftly.
- Strong expertise in networking, including routing protocols, network design, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of security and networking fundamentals.
- Strong scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code tools.
- English — upper-intermediate (B2 and above)
Would be a plus:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Experienced with configuration management systems.
- Experienced with DB Administration such as Postgres/MYSQL/Clickhouse.
- Experienced with deploying frameworks of software bus using stream-processing such as Kafka.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus/Grafana, ELK.
- Experience with repository manager, preferably Artifactory/Nexus.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining Linux-based systems, administering and optimizing Kubernetes and troubleshooting complex network architectures, focusing on efficient routing, load balancing, and network security.
- Define and implement monitoring and observability tools for production systems.
- Respond to incidents by diagnosing performance issues, outages, or unexpected behavior, and work towards quick resolutions with a root-cause analysis.
- Analyze system performance metrics and bottlenecks to fine-tune services for maximum efficiency and uptime.
- Contribute to the improvement of security best practices and policies, including encryption, firewalls, etc.
- Be a part of the critical path in the development and delivery processes in a fast-growing startup.
